Day 6 – Editing Templates

In this tutorial you will learn how to edit the template used in the Pixx photo website. You will need to browse to the templates folder, in the file directory and open the template available.

What is a Template

Templates save a lot of time, both during the design process and when maintaining a website. A template contains common elements that are applied to every page within your website.If you update the template, any page using it will also be updated. A template typically contains the following elements:

• Site Naviagtion
• Logo
• Copyright Information

Step 2 - Save the template

Click save from the toolbar. Saving will take slightly longer depending on the number of pages using this particular template.

Step 3 - View live pages

Click view live site to see all the pages with the new logo.
