Elements
Your web page can be viewed as a collection of elements each of which have properties that can be altered to suit your style requirements. This is an example of typical elements within Webmanager:
- Text Box – A text container on the website
- Container – This element contains other elements
Element Properties
If you select an element on the page i.e. a container element you can select the properties from the menu at the top of the webmanager screen.
The properties panel gives you complete control of the appearance and positioning of the element:
- Properties – Change the name
- Position – Set the exact position of the element
- Background – Set the background colour of an element or whether there should be a background image
- Border – add a border to the element, add spacing and padding around the element
- Mouse Over – Add a mouse over action that occurs whenever a visitor moves their cursor over the element
- Advanced – Set dynamic properties of the website
- Reset – Reset all properties for the element back to the default or global style
Elements - Moving
- Click on the element you would like to move
- Hold down the left mouse button, you can now drag the element around the page to position it as you want
Moving from the element propertiesundefined
- Click and select the element that you would like to move
- Select the Properties menu
- Select Position – Change the X & Y co-ordinates of the element.
- Click apply to apply the changesundefined
Resizing
- Click on an element that you would like to resize.
- A red border is displayed around the element with square points on each corner and in the centre of each line
- Clicking on a check point and dragging out or in will expand or contract the element.undefined
Resizing from the element properties
- Click and select the element that you would like to resize
- Select the Properties menu
- Select Position button – Change the size boxes.
