How to create a link
Links can be created using text, images or elements{link} of your web page
Creating a text link
- Open the Text editor
- Highlight a section of text and press the link button {image}
- The Link properties screen is displayed, here you can enter the target of the link
- For a link that is internal to your website enter a relative path i.e.: ContactUs - For the contact us page, Products/acme – For a file that lives in a subdirectory called products
- For an external link outside of your website enter the full URL link i.e.:http://www.google.co.uk – A link to the google website
Creating an Image Link
- Select the image element
- Click the Link icon on the toolbar
- In the field: “Link To” click the select button to browse for the file that you would like to link to. Alternatively if you are linking to an external page enter the full URL i.e.: http://www.google.com
Removing a Text Link
- Select a text box element{link} containing a text link
- Click the
icon displayed next to the text box
- Highlight the entire link that you would like to remove (if you do not select the whole link then not all of it will be removed
- Click the unlink button – This will remove the link from the textundefined
